Gargen Chyoling Nunnery is located in the remote Lower Mustang region of Nepal with a branch near Kathmandu. The Mustang region falls along the popular Annapurna Circuit, but only a handful of people benefit from the tourism and the area is still lacking many essentials. This 380 year old nunnery supports disadvantaged girls and orphans in the region. 25 of the younger nuns live in a small nunnery on the outskirts of Kathmandu.

NCF helps with education of the younger nuns on math, reading, health sciences and to learn basic English. We have hired 2 full-time female teachers from Kathmandu to fill these roles and have also purchased computers and school supplies to support instruction.
