The Kirtipur Hostel is located in Kathmandu, and replaces the Pharping Hostel which we outgrew. The Kirtipur Hostel houses over 50 of our older girls as they receive their secondary education at an English medium school. Our students are excelling at the school and consistently remain at the top of their classes. The girls are very close and when they aren’t in school or studying, they enjoy walking around the town to local temples, dancing, watching movies, and playing games.
Student Spotlight
Sobankali Bhandari came to Simikot Hostel in 2014 and graduated in 2019 to the Pharping Hostel. As of 2023, she is living at the Kirtipur Hostel. She is quiet and thoughtful but loves to dance and be goofy with her friends. Sobankali loves to get creative and paint pictures with watercolors and braid friendship bracelets. She excels in math and science and really enjoys school.
As of 2022, Sobankali is 17 years old. She is enjoying living at the Kirtipur Hostel and studying in grade 8. She recently was elected as class vice president at her school and we are so proud of her!
